On February 21st, McDonald’s Canada finally launched it’s all day breakfast! After a one-month trial period in 17 restaurants across the country.
“We had a great demand from consumers,” says Jacques Mignault, Chief Operating Officer at McDonald’s Canada. “We got over 10,000 tweets asking: when are you going to start all day breakfast ?”
The hamburger chain began offering its breakfast menu all day in the fall of 2015 in the United States. It has since attributed an increase in their sales to the popularity of the all day breakfast menu.
The breakfast menu is “healthier”, which is increasingly important for Canadian households. “The McMuffin is a great alternative to the hamburger,” says Jacques Migneault. The egg is a lean protein, very popular. Our customers want to eat healthier, fresher. ”
McDonald’s Canada operates in a highly competitive market with modest growth.
